In "Corpi di Luce", photography and film join forces to present the Luce collection created by the Iris Ceramica Group with stylist and designer Guillermo Mariotto: an original concept combining the idioms of architecture and art which the Iris Ceramica Group has chosen for its participation in Superfici d'autore 2022, an exhibition at MIC International Ceramics Museum in Faenza drawing public attention to the research and excellence of a number of Italian companies in partnership with designers from all over the world.

Superfici d'autore and Corpi di luce on exhibition at MIC in Faenza

Today, 16 September, sees the opening of an exhibition continuing until 2 October, entitled “Superfici d'autore” 2022 (“Art surfaces 2022”) organised by MIC, the International Ceramics Museum in Faenza. The Iris Ceramica Group will be participating in the event with the Luce collection produced in collaboration with stylist and designer Guillermo Mariotto.

With the “Superfici d'autore” exhibition, MIC anticipates, accompanies and concludes an outstanding season in which ceramics are featured in two important international events held in Italy: Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings held in Bologna 26 through 30 September, and Tecna, the International Exhibition of Technologies and Supplies for Surfaces in Rimini from 27 through 30 September.

MIC has a particular focus on outstanding products resulting from synergic partnerships between the technical excellence of a number of prominent Italian companies and the stylistic research of important international designers. The Iris Ceramica Group will be participating in “Superfici d'autore 2022” with “Corpi di Luce”, meaning “bodies of light”: an original exhibition concept combining the idiom of photography with the art of film to investigate the dualism between statuary materials and light weight characterising the Group’s Luce collection designed by stylist and designer Guillermo Mariotto. A unique project which was successfully presented in Milan during Fuorisalone 2022 and is also on view at the Iris Ceramica Group’s Flagship Store in Milan until 28 September. An exhibition concept underlining the properties of Luce, accompanied by an important project conducted by the Iris Ceramica Group, which views ceramic as more than just a material for architecture and design, going beyond the boundaries of these disciplines to blend with the idioms of art in all its forms: material, visual and poetic.
