Superfici d'autore and Corpi di luce on exhibition at MIC in Faenza

In "Corpi di Luce", photography and film join forces to present the Luce collection created by the Iris Ceramica Group with stylist and designer Guillermo Mariotto: an original concept combining the idioms of architecture and art which the Iris Ceramica Group has chosen for its participation in Superfici d'autore 2022, an exhibition at MIC International Ceramics Museum in Faenza drawing public attention to the research and excellence of a number of Italian companies in partnership with designers from all over the world.

Guillermo Mariotto on the Luce collection: ‘I’ve used ceramic to fill my house with light’

A multitalented creative, designer and stylist, Mariotto has turned his penchant for elegance towards ceramic design: Luce is his collection of large porcelain slabs for Iris Ceramica Group which exudes all the sinuosity and movement of silk. In the company’s showroom, for Milan’s FuoriSalone, a short film and photo exhibition tell the story behind it.

The LUCE collection: a new visual dimension for high-tech ceramic

High-tech ceramic is ushering in a new aesthetic phase thanks to the dynamism and visual power of the LUCE surface by Guillermo Mariotto. An iridescent, three-dimensional material emerges from the sinuous waves of the six shades offered by the brands of the Iris Ceramica Group. Soft and lightweight, the surface becomes richer and more complex the longer you look at it, just like an elegant haute couture fabric, modulated in countless ways by the light reflecting off it.
