OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen Biennale Interieur

The architectural firm OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen is the curator of the 25th Biennale Interieur of Kortrijk (Belgium), jointly with the visual artist Richard Venlet and the graphic designer Joris Kritis.

The theme chosen, “Silver Lining – Interior”, a tribute to the 25th edition, indicated as the “silver edition” becomes a hallmark, a silver line that highlights the paths and becomes a generating force of the exhibition areas. Interior is the title of the section dedicated to the interpretation of interiors by famous designers. They are six areas entrusted to six different designers of international renown in order to express each their own vision, style and creativity. Among them are the curators themselves, presenting their Solo House as a preview for the Kortrijk Biennale. This installation, created with panels that separate the structure into furnished rooms, is a reinterpretation of the self-supporting building of the same name created in Spain by OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen with the designer Muller Van Severen and the artists Richard Venlet and Joris Kritis.
The works of the 2016 Interieur Awards are also present on show, as well as an exhibition devoted to the works of Vincent Van Duysen, who in September was appointed Designer of the Year 2016.
