The Milan City Council and the Quebec delegation in Italy worked together to organise an exhibition in Palazzo Morando to compare the work of three designers who originally came from Quebec: Albert Leclerc, Ginette Caron and Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte who built up their careers in Italy in different periods.

Albert Leclerc, first worked with Gio Ponti then with Errore Sottsass for a couple of decades at Olivetti; he is showcased here with his “Le Palle” ceramic balls project, produced in collaboration with Alessio Sarri.

Ginette Caron has worked on illustrations, graphic design, packaging, installations and merchandising for major companies in various sectors ? from food to fashion to publishing, receiving many international accolades. Her work is a 280 x 280 cm canvas: a QRcode composed of images, colours, signs.

The new generation of designers is represented by Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, co-founder with Jakub Zak of Oeuffice, a new research laboratory and designer of the three“Totems for Living”, two-metre tall monoliths and of “Ziggurat”, a system of independent boxes that stack together to form a monumental tower.
