Laprimastanza i Filarini Winery in Calisese di Cesena

Architects Davide Agostini, Matteo Battistini, Steve Camagni, and Francesco Ceccarelli of Laprimastanza collective have been back at work at I Filarini, a winery in Calisese di Cesena.
In 2014 the architects designed the farm holiday establishment and all communications, and now they have completed work on the winery.

The new building is in the same style as the farm holiday establishment: buildings linked with the local winemaking tradition but in a contemporary version emphasising the social aspects of work and of country celebrations.
It is not a copy of the existing building, but, as the architects themselves describe them, the two buildings are “two compatible souls, two notes in harmony” united on the outside by little rows of grapevines on coloured gravel.
The winery contains a volume made with OSB panels concentrating the barrel cellar, the sales counter and all the necessary services. A long cut in the wall of the tasting room opens up onto the outside, offering visitors views over the hills of Romagna.
