FAB Berlin The Rooms – A Design and Food Experience

A journey through interior design accompanied by great food and ad hoc music, an experiential event that promises to delight all the senses: “The Rooms – A Design and Food Experience”. This invitation-only event will take place on 13th October 2017 at the FAB Berlin and has been organised by the Floornature team with experts from the Berlin Food Week and FAB gallery manager Dorota Wisniewska.

The evening is part of a calendar of cultural events that will enliven Autumn in Berlin in the run-up to Berlin Food Week, which will take place from 14th – 21st October , at the same time as the largest light art festival in Germany: “BERLIN leuchtet®”, a great urban festival involving over 80 locations in the German capital and ending on 15th October.

“The Rooms – A Design and Food Experience” is the result of an idea by Alexander van Hessen (founder of the Berlin Food Week) with Christian von Manteuffel and Ken Schluchtmann. As part ofBerlin Food Week, it allows visitors to discover new spaces in an unusual pairing of food and location. The Floornatureteam, in partnership with gallery manager Dorota Wisniewska, has planned an evening that will see the culinary preparations of Schmelzwerk by Markus Herbichtpaired with Fiandre maxi slabs. The porcelain surfaces in various colours and textures will be both the backdrop and protagonists of these unusual combinations, with videos, music and fine food. Once again, the FAB Architectural Bureau confirms that it is an eclectic space, a professional and cultural reference point for Berlin’s architects.
