Dominique Perrault Architects - DC Tower 1 - Vienna

Good architecture, a project of great quality and sophisticated design, is what architect Dominique Perrault wanted to achieve for the DC Towers in Vienna.
DC Tower 1, the building opened in a Vienna on February 26, is a new landmark in the city, with 60 floors rising 250 metres above the ground:the tallest buildingin Austria.
Dominique Perrault was appointed to design the building after winning a design competition announced in 2002, in which the judges included architects Zaha Hadid, Adolf Krischanitz and MVRDV.
The twin towers are designed not as independent buildings but as parts of a single block facing the city and the Danube. The two buildings conclude the overall plan for redevelopment of the Vienna DC Danube – City area which began a couple of decades ago.
