Denmark by design exhibition
A semi-permanent exhibition is underway at the Danish Design Centre in Copenhagen (Denmark). The exhibition, open until May 12 2013, draws attention to the production of objects and plans by Danish designers between 1945 and 2010.

From decade to decade, the exhibition tells the story of the evolution of design in the historic and social context in which it evolved and was influenced, from post-war furniture designs to the fluid lines of contemporary design.

Toys such as the historic LEGO® bricks, medical aids, fashion accessories, etc.: designers and planners have focused on all aspects of human life, the home, the workplace and public space.

Christian Scherfig, managing director of the Danish Design Centre, says that the Danish have twentieth and twenty-first century design in their blood, and that politicians and businesspeople consciously make choices promoting Denmark's enviable position on the world design scene.
