Cosmos Architecture Residential Skyscraper in Riyadh

Cosmos Architecture unveiled the design of a residential skyscraper built for the city of Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia. The Mawten Residence will be a complex of as many as 260 apartments. The project has been implemented with respect for the city's cultural heritage and context, with the intention of offering guidelines for the regeneration of the neighbourhood in which it will be built.
The Mawten's Residence is a residential skyscraper designed by Cosmos Architecture for the city of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The design concept, drawn up by the international architecture firm, respects the local cultural heritage. The proposal is for a 260-apartment complex in line with the principles ofSaudi Vision 2030, the strategic plan that aims to reduce the country's dependence on oil.
The design by Cosmos Architecture interprets the local culture, in order to offer a unique and contemporary experience of everyday life, yet linked to the historical roots of the city. The complex will be built close to one of Riyadh's most important gates and, together with the residential units, will offer its users numerous services and facilities.
In the shared basement of the residential towers, there will be a commercial area with retail shops and other public spaces, sports facilities with a swimming pool, sauna, gymnasium, gardens and children's play areas, multi-purpose spaces, parking and a roof terrace. Four spacious flats consisting of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen with dining area and living room will be distributed on each floor of the residential towers. The majestic appearance of the skyscraper is generated by a simple form into which a series of additional terraces with greenery, staggered from floor to floor, are incorporated. It is designed to provide each floor with wide panoramic views of the city, green areas, and to ensure privacy. The result is a contemporary and luxurious complex, but one that recalls the city's historical roots and aspires to expand its sphere of influence to become a useful landmark in the regeneration of the city district in which it will be built.
