Ready for London’s Clerkenwell Design Week #CDW2014?

As announced a few weeks ago, Clerkenwell Design Week (#CDW14) is almost here. In its fifth edition, the festival will be held from 20 to 22 May 2014 in Clerkenwell, modern London’s creative hub.



A 3-day festival for the whole neighbourhood. More than 60 local showrooms are ready for one of the most hip events in the design world, winning the Best Live Event at the AEO Awards and best festival and cultural event at the UK Event Awards.



The importance of the Clerkenwell Design Week is measured by the quality of the brands and firms involved.
One of the festival’s veteran partners, Vitra will be hosting a range of activities, including the celebration of fifteen years of Ron Arad’s Vac Chair, inviting more than 20 leading architects and designers to restyle this iconic design. 



Various showrooms and design studios are hosting an array of great initiatives, such as “Re.presence” by Sto Werkstatt, who we will be discussing in more detail soon, plus the “Designs on the Green” charrette. On 22 May, participating architecture firms including Madoc Architecture, Pilbrow and Partners, UHA London and Coffey Architects, will present their original ideas for the future of Clerkenwell Green.



So, CDW14 has all the right ingredients to make it a success this year too!
