FuoriSalone Land Art by LAN_Laboratorio Architetture Naturali

The new appointment with Land Art by Italian studio LAN_Laboratorio Architetture Naturali proposes “Nature Leap” - a bamboo and synthetic rope installation - as the backdrop for the Beyond Colour creations by designer Paola Lenti.



“Nature Leap” - the most recent work by Italian studio LAN_Laboratorio Architetture Naturali, was on show in the eye-catching setting of the Chiostro della Società Umanitaria in Milan. Under the direction of Francesco Poli, for years the team has based its approach on eco-sustainable design solutions and it takes a strong interest in self-building.





This particular project is made from bamboo and synthetic rope, an unbroken weave of these two materials to create the backdrop for the display of fabrics created by Paola Lenti. These too are weaves and wefts in warm shades that - as her work's title suggests - go "Beyond Colour", with totally unpredictable patterns. This visual reference between structure and container also sets up a visual tension that drives visitors to explore both creations.





Positioned almost like nests in the venue's 16th century cloisters, the temporary architecture created by LAN_Laboratorio Architetture Naturali once more brings out the magic of these ephemeral constructions. Indeed, whether it is reminding us of our attempts to build a play hut when we were little or it is hinting at exotic lands, the Land Art by Francesco Poli and LAN_Laboratorio Architetture Naturali whets our imagination and turns into a welcome getaway for a break from routine.
