DreamCenter is the complex that DreamWorks Animation & Partner will be building in Shanghai: a vast entertainment district, to be built with the involvement of several Chinese and international architectural studios.

Danish architectural studio 3XN has been commissioned to build the theatre featuring the world’s biggest IMAX screen, with adjacent commercial and creative spaces. The complex will also include the DreamWorks Animation production studios.
Describing the project, architect Kim Herforth Nielsen of 3XN said that the IMAX theatre will be the future cultural centre of film in Shanghai, the seat of film festivals and premieres.
The project was presented on March 25th, 2014 in Shanghai; construction is due to start before the end of the year and be completed in 2017.
