Treviso architect Massimo Galeotti has renovated another historic home, this time in San Polo di Piave. An old farmhouse that had been abandoned for years was restored to its original typological style and updated with a new layout.

KAAN Architecten's new De Bank building in Rotterdam

De Bank, the name of the building containing KAAN Architecten's new headquarters in Rotterdam, recalls the building's original function as the former headquarters of the Nederlandsche Bank. It is located in the heart of the city, on the banks of the Meuse River by the Erasmus Bridge, and another KAAN Architecten project, the Education Centre at Erasmus University Medical Centre.

Isthmus' Kopupaka Reserve in New Zealand named World Landscape of the Year 2016

Isthmus' Kopupaka Reserve in Auckland, New Zealand was named World Landscape of the Year 2016 at the 2016 World Architecture Festival. The judges particularly appreciated the way the architects managed to capture the soul and the nature of the place in the creation of the landscape, translating a traditional Maori construction technique into architectural elements.

Foster + Partners Crossrail Place - Canary Wharf, London

In the new Canary Wharf Crossrail Station and shopping centre in London’s Canary Wharf is designed by Foster + Partners, an unusual shell-shaped roof covers the whole building, with a number of openings in the middle part to permit natural irrigation of the rooftop garden and provide panoramic views on the sides.

Tropical Space and the Terra Cotta studio and workshop

The architects of Tropical Space designed Terra Cotta Studio on the banks of the Thu Bon River, in Dien Phuong, Vietnam: a brick cube concealing a wooden core which is the workshop and museum of terra cotta artist Le Duc Ha. Tropical Space has made the building a symbol of the local tradition of ceramics.

OFIS architects: Alpine barn tourist apartment in Bohinj, Slovenia

OFIS architects converted an old barn near Bohinj, Slovenia into a holiday rental apartment. The traditional construction of the hay barn and stables is maintained on the outside of the building, and converted on the inside to create a space suited for the dynamics of living today.
