UAD is an architecture firm founded within Zhejiang University itself in 1953. It has over 1400 employees, some of whom have recently designed and built the university’s new international campus. The campus - situated between Lake Juanhu and a lagoon park - is designed in a neoclassical style which tends to vary from one block of buildings to the next, with the dark red brick as the common characteristic element connecting them all. A multifunctional space of excellence where students and professors alike can live and pursue their studies and research.
