Light and contemporary art are key elements of two recent projects completed by the B+P studio founded by architects Alessia Bettazzi and Pierluigi Percoco. Two renovation projects carried out for different contexts – a residence in Prato and a boutique in Altamura – but united by the skillful use of light as a guiding element and by the careful fusion between art and architecture.

Fosbury Architecture designs Urban Centre at the Pecci Centre in Prato, Italy

On November 20 the new Urban Centre designed by the Fosbury Architecture collective was inaugurated inside the Luigi Pecci Centre for Contemporary Art in Prato, Italy. A project that received strong support from the Municipality of Prato and the Fondazione per le Arti Contemporanee in Toscana. The new Urban Centre is a permanent laboratory and an observatory on urban transformations, but also a theatre, a space for immersive installations, a thriving place that will open up the museum to a more active participation on the part of citizens and will contribute to the city’s cultural landscape.
