Eduardo Souto de Moura Piranesi Prix de Rome for Lifetime Achievement

On November 22, 2016 it was announced that the prestigious award for classic achievement in architecture, the 2017 Piranesi Prix de Rome for Lifetime Achievement, would be presented to 2011 Pritzker Prize winner Eduardo Souto de Moura on March 24, 2017.

Alvaro Siza Sacro exhibition at Maxxi Roma

From November 9 2016 through March 27 2017 Maxxi in Rome, the museum designed by Zaha Hadid, will contain a big installation designed by Álvaro Siza to display his projects in the exhibition entitled “Álvaro Siza, Sacro”, in which two profoundly different ways of approaching architecture appear in direct contrast.

Siza Souto de Moura Municipio Metro Station Naples

Piazza del Municipio metro station, a hub for interchange between metro lines 1 and 6 and the Port of Naples, was designed by architects Álvaro Siza Viera and Eduardo Souto de Moura. Floornature invites you to discover it through the photographs of an architect from Naples, Luigi Scarpato.

The winning design for the new Science Centre at Città della Scienza in Naples

On the 7th July the winning design was announced for the new Science Centre at Città della Scienza in Naples: the joint proposal by Stige & Partners, Icaro, Dinamicamente Architetti, Nicola Marchetti, Alfredo Postiglione, Salvatore De Lucia, Valerio Ciotola and Andrea Guazzieri. The Città della Scienza was badly damaged in a fire on 4th March 2013.
