MAP Studio - Restoration and refurbishment of the former Querini Park Greenhouses in Vicenza
MAP Studio - Magnani Pelzel Architetti Associati has designed the restoration and refurbishment project of the former Greenhouses of the Querini Park, one of the city of Vicenza’s main green lungs. With a contemporary language and respectful of the pre-existing elements, the MAP studio has created a project where new and old elements manage to establish a close and mutually-enhancing dialogue.

MAP Studio designs MPavilion 2021, a temporary pavilion in Melbourne
Architects Francesco Magnani and Traudy Pelzel from the MAP Studio recently unveiled the MPavilion 2021 project, the temporary pavilion commissioned from the Italian studio by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation. The pavilion will be built in the Queen Victoria Gardens in Melbourne, Australia. Between November 11, 2021 to March 20, 2022, the new structure will host a rich programme of free events and will subsequently be donated to the state of Victoria and moved and relocated to a new permanent home, where it will continue to serve the community.

Map Studio named Italian Architect with Orizzontale as Young Talent of Italian Architecture in 2018
Francesco Magnani and Traudy Pelzel’s Map Studio has been named Italian Architect of 2018 for the Tramway Terminal project in Venice, while the Orizzontale collective has been awarded the Prize for Young Talent in Italian Architecture for its 8 ½ Project in Rome.

Vatican Chapels: a visit to the Holy See pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia
We are today continuing our visit to Vatican Chapels, the Holy See pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of Biennale di Venezia. It is a scattered pavilion, composed of ten chapels and an entrance pavilion, hosted by the Giorgio Cini Foundation in the park of the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, in Venice.

The Holy See pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia
For the first time, the Holy See will take part in the International Architecture Exhibition of Biennale di Venezia, with a special pavilion created on the isle of San Giorgio Maggiore. Ten important architects were invited to design ten chapels inspired by the “Woodland Chapel” by Erik Gunnar Asplund. The Electa catalogue narrates their paths and the outcomes.
