Town House by Grafton Architects wins the RIBA Stirling Prize

The Town House project for Kingston University London by Grafton Architects, led by architects Shelley McNamara and Yvonne Farrell, has won the 25th RIBA Stirling Prize, the prestigious prize awarded by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for the finest works in the United Kingdom.

On 16 September the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) announced the six finalists contending for its most prestigious award, the RIBA Stirling Prize, now in its 25th year. From the six buildings competing for the title of Best Architecture in the UK, the following projects were selected: 15 Clerkenwell Close by GROUPWORK, Cambridge Central Mosque by Marks Barfield Architects, Key Worker Housing by Stanton Williams, Town House (Kingston University London) by Grafton Architects, Tintagel Castle Footbridge by Ney & Partners and William Matthews Associates for the English Heritage, Windermere Jetty Museum by Carmody Groarke.

449 Architectural projects submitted for the Mies van der Rohe Award

The list of 449 architectural projects submitted for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2022, located in 279 cities in 41 countries, was announced on February 2. 514 architectural practices compete for the European Union’s most important award for architecture, presented by the European Commission and Fundació Mies van der Rohe. For the first time, the current edition also includes works built in Armenia, Moldavia and Tunisia.
