Opening of the Städel Museum expansion: a museum as “green building”

Schneider+Schumacher Planungsgesellschaft mbH came up with this plan for an expansion on the Städel Museum in Frankfurt, Germany, which won a competition on invitation in 2007 and was described by the judges as “a brilliant jewel by day, a luminous carpet by night”.
