The architecture of the future: winners of the 2021 WAFX Prize

The twelve winners of the World Architecture Festival (WAF) awards for unbuilt architectural projects, the WAFX 2021 Prize, have been announced. The candidates are projects from all over the world addressing today’s global challenges, from controlling pandemics to the climate crisis, from food supplies to social equality, diversity and cultural identity and so on, divided by category: office, residential, education and health, culture, leisure and experimentation.

The 2019 Art Fund Museum of the Year is the St Fagans National Museum of History

The winner of the 2019 Art Fund Museum of the Year, the annual prize awarded to the best museums in the United Kingdom, was announced on 3rd July 2019. The prize was awarded to the St Fagans National Museum of History in Cardiff, and the shortlisted museums included the HMS Caroline in Belfast, the Nottingham Contemporary in Nottingham, the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, and the V&A Dundee in Scotland.

The students were involved in all stages in the planning of a new building to contain Art and Design classrooms and workshops at Bedales School, developed by the architects of Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios.
