Architecture Festival in Italy: the winning events

The Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity and Urban Regeneration of Italy’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism has supported an initiative aimed at developing awareness of the importance of contemporary architecture among the public and promoting quality architecture to aid the country’s civil, social and economic progress: the "Architecture Festival" competition saw the selection of seven winning projects for seven events held in the month of September 2020.

New Cagliari Calcio stadium signed by Massimo Roj, by Progetto CMR and Sportium

The project created by the Sportium consortium, a team of professionals composed of Progetto CMR, iDeas, B&L Real Estate and Manica Architecture, was chosen by Cagliari Calcio for its new stadium. The project by Sportium won over other two finalist projects, Tractebel-Engie’s Gau Arena, and J+S’s One Works.
