Ricardo Bak Gordon designs renovation and residential restoration in Porto - House 1

In Porto, Portugal, architect Ricardo Bak Gordon designed the renovation project for a villa built at the end of the 19th century. The original building was a bourgeois residence on four levels and situated within a plot of more than 2000 square metres near the waterfront. The restoration project has enhanced the existing spaces and proposed new functions for some of the environments.

Bak Gordon Arquitectos’ Ephemeral Architecture for Centro Cultural de Belém, Lisbon

The Bak Gordon architecture firm has been invited to design ephemeral, modular cork architecture for the event that Centro Cultural de Belém, together with Corticeira Amorim, organizes in the city of Lisbon every summer. The project is for a cork-built outdoor auditorium which occupies half the plaza of the Centro Cultural de Belém, adapting to its contours and also transforming the seating distancing signs, necessary to comply with health regulations in this pandemic time, into a design feature.
