Reflections on living for (RE)Generations Stories: Road to Cortina 2026

On 7 June, in the heart of Milan, a stone's throw from the Duomo, and to mark the FuoriSalone 2022 events, the Flaghship Store of Iris Ceramica Group will host the second meeting of (RE)Generations Stories: Road to Milan-Cortina 2026, entitled: “Riflessioni sull’Abitare, tra modelli tradizionali e nuove formule abitative ” (Reflections on Living, Between Traditional Models and New Housing Formulas).
The event, moderated by Luca Giannelli,CEO of United Consulting, will be attended by Paolo Asti, founder of Asti Architetti, Anna Milella, Development Manager of Lendlease, and Giuseppe Rossi, Executive Director of Bizzi & Partners.
.
The event is part of a series of in-person meetings organised by the magazine The Plan ahead of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The aim is to take advantage of the opportunity and visibility offered by the international sporting event to involve architects, designers, urban planners and sports personalities, in order to promote a census of the real estate heritage and thus a careful strategy of architectural and infrastructural rehabilitation and enhancement for the entire sector.
The play on words encapsulated in the title “(RE)Generations Stories” hints at the plurality of themes on which the discussion is focused. Indeed, it alludes to the “regeneration” and thus to the redevelopment and conversion of existing structures, but also to the “generation” of new real estate assets, to the “new generations” and then to reasoning about the future use of the works, about “what will become” of architecture and infrastructure once the Olympic flame is extinguished.
The meeting on 7 June is part of the rich schedule of initiatives that Iris Ceramica Group has proposed during the week of the Salone del Mobile. Milan 2022, aimed at stimulating meetings and debates among various professionals on the future of architecture and the themes of sustainability, as well as recounting, through the exhibition “ Corpi di Luce ” (Bodies of Light), inspired by the Luce collection by Guillermo Mariotto, the noble and eclectic nature of a material such as ceramic that weaves together design, fashion, photography and the art of film.

On 9 June, also in collaboration with The Plan, a new episode of “The Architects Series –A documentary on: CZA” will take place with a lecture by architect Cino Zucchi entitled “Tempo e Architettura, ovvero La Teoria della doccia del camping ” (Time and Architecture, or The Theory of the Camping Shower).
The third event of “(RE)Generations Stories” entitled: “Il valore dell’Ospitalità: un approccio fluido per spazi e funzioni in evoluzione ” (The Value of Hospitality: a fluid approach for evolving spaces and functions), will take place on 6 October 2022, again at the Milan Flagship Store of Iris Ceramica Group.
