Oficina Tëcnica is the name of the new space dedicated to ceramic surfaces for architecture that Matimex will inaugurate at no.6 Paseo de Recoletos, one of the most important streets in Madrid, just a short walk from the Prado Museum.
From 19th to 21st September 2017,Oficina Tëcnica will open its doors for three days non-stop from 10am to 8 pm, to present architects, interior designers and planners with large 3 x 1.5 m porcelain slabs produced in the Iris Ceramica Group plants and distributed in Spain by Matimex.
“Oficina Tëcnica”, the name of the space, evokes a sense of “working together”, of the hard work of a “craftsman’s workshop” and goes beyond the limits of a traditional showroom. The display in the spaces at no.6 di Paseo de Recoletos will highlight the potential of slabs and the flexibility of porcelain produced in Italy by the Iris Ceramica Group. In this new Matimex exhibition gallery, designers can discover and appreciate the range of dimensions, colours and possibilities of use of materials offered by the various Group brands, as well as the innovative applications for kitchen tops, Sapienstone. Going beyond the limits of a traditional showroom, “Oficina Tëcnica” will also be an active laboratory which will offer designers workshops, events and internationally recognised initiatives aimed at the world of architecture and design.
For almost 45 years Matimex has flown the flag for Spain and Latin American with the Made in Italy style that characterises all the products of the Iris Ceramica Group and with this opening it intends to replicate the success of the large exhibition gallery opened in March 2015.
