Apartment,

Laprimastanza has converted an abandoned apartment in a 1950s apartment building in Forlì into a residence for university students. In an interpretation of space that creates dynamic, empowering solutions, the architects have created a home the temporary inhabitants will certainly remember

An architectural project that is also a means of communication, in a form of storytelling summed up in the punning hashtag #studio_glamping. Glam as in glamour, but also as an acronym for Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums, inseparable companions of university life, and camping: a free way of living, in contact with nature, the favourite kind of holiday for young people. All this and more appears in the project by architects Davide Agostini, Matteo Battistini and Francesco Ceccarelli of the Laprimastanza collective for “regeneration” of an unused apartment in a 1950s apartment building in Forlì.

Regeneration”, as the architects themselves call it, because it would be reductive to call it a “renovation” project: The project gives the apartment new energy, an interpretation of space that creates dynamic, involving solutions on a limited budget.
Taking a closer look at the work: the architects eliminated a number of dividing walls and created a single open space with furnished walls and mobile doors creating containers and dividers/refuges for use as bedrooms. The floors and the bathroom area are covered with blue Vietri ceramic tiles, adding character to the apartment to make it unique and recognisable: a home all its temporary inhabitants will certainly remember.
