Five Scandinavian architects design the Treehotel
Inspired by the story of the film "The Tree Lover" by Jonas Selberg Augustsén, this unusual hotel opened by Kent Lindvall and Britta is located in Harads, about fifty kilometres from the town of Luleå, in an uncontaminated natural setting.

The film tells the story of three men who escape the city and rediscover their roots building a treehouse, and the hotel is a set of treehouses or treerooms designed by famous Scandinavian architects.

The hotel has five treerooms so far, but work continues in 2012 on this ambitious project which it so include construction of a total of 24 rooms.

All the rooms are 4-6 metres above the ground, with panoramic views of the Lule River; the complex is completed by a sauna designed by the architects of Inredningsgruppen.

The rooms vary in size from 15 to 30 m2, and each one is unique: the architects have strong>designed everything to measure: furniture, lighting and fabrics, using energy-saving and sustainable construction solutions to limit the treerooms? environmental impact.
