Claudio Nardi Made Expo 2015 installation

The installation designed by architect Claudio Nardi for 3D Surface is a white wrapper enclosing a process of discovery of the 22 textures on display.
Use of the neutral colour in the wrapper underlines the purity and three-dimensionality of the textures with the effects of light and shadow.
Three new textures are presented to the public at Made, including two designed by Jacopo Cecchi, the Pizzo (“Lace”) and Tartan collections: macroscopic interpretations of the decorations and textures of fabrics, to create spaces that appear to be wrapped in cloth.
The third proposal, Citymap, was created by well-known architect Andrea Castrignano, host of the television show “Cambio Casa Cambio Vita “ (which might be translated as “New house, new life”). Castrignano’s creation is inspired by the urban fabric of the city, creating an image of a true three-dimensional city.
