On the occasion of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Gmp architectural studios present a new book entitled "3+1 Stadia for Brazil".
In the book 3+1 Stadia for Brazil Architectural studio gmp (von Gerkan, Marg & Partners) and the engineers of sbp (Schlaich Bergermann & Partners) talk about their projects for the stadia in Brasília, Manaus and Belo Horizonte for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The book reveals not only the details of the stadium buildings constructed in accordance with the most recent international FIFA standards but the stories of the cities where they are located.
The "+1" in the title is a reference to Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro, a legendary stadium for football fans all over the world that was renovated for the 2014 World Cup. The team of engineers from sbp contributed a new roof to the renovation of the building known as the "temple of football".
