- INSIDEOUT by Leigh Sachwitz, installation for photography
Photography as a game, portraying the world with a camera as an adventure - these are the playgrounds that Olympus has provided visitors, with specific installations all over the world.
The most recent Olympus Photography Playground was set up by flora&faunovisions in Hamburg during the Triennial of Photography, giving photography lovers not just a great backdrop to use the cameras provided, but an actual audio-visual story they can really sink their teeth into.
Scottish designer, Leigh Sachwitz, owner of the Berlin-based studio, flora&faunavisions and branding and visual communication expert, has created a 360° multimedia installation: INSIDEOUT. She introduces us to a house, a sanctuary, a haven from the forces of nature, which uses light and a sound creation by award-winning composer, musician and producer of electronic music, Andi Toma.
So, the playground is a traditional architectural construction with a table and chair, that is then given unknown dimensions thanks to the artistic combination of light and sound proposed in the images of photographer Ken Schluchtmann some of which we can actually experience in the video by INSIDEOUT.
Leigh Sachwitz from flora&faunavisions challenges people who use cameras due to the multimedia nature of the installation - knowing how to capture not just what you see but the feeling of that moment is the true secret of every good photographer!
