Atelier Zündel & Cristea, Bridge in Paris
A playful "tongue-in-cheek" design proposal that conceals an interesting architectural reflection was submitted by architecture firm Atelier Zündel & Cristea as their response to an ideas competition for a new bridge in Paris.

It is universally acknowledged that living in the middle of green is a source of happiness and freedom; against this, the shape of cities and their growth establish our routine pathways.
With these thoughts in mind, the architects at Atelier Zündel & Cristea came up with the idea of a bridge that doesn?t just cross over the river but provides a playful, enjoyable experience on the water.
The bridge is made from inflatable modules, complete with giant mesh trampolines, made from light structures and PVC membranes, and was designed for a specific site on the Seine river.

The architects considered the bridge?s location very carefully, positioning it so people crossing the river can engage directly with the Eiffel Tower, and also get the chance to appreciate a different view of the city of Paris.
