Álvaro Siza exhibition Inside the human being Mart Rovereto

MART in Rovereto recently opened an exhibition about Álvaro Siza, the well-known Portuguese architect and winner of several honours, including the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 1992 and a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition at the Biennale in Venice (2012).
The exhibition includes a selection of projects (built and under construction) presented through drawings, photographs and models illustrating the way architect Álvaro Siza works.

The projects featured in the exhibition demonstrate to visitors the architect's design method and his vision of architecture as a "poetic profession" focusing on the design of spaces in which people live surrounded by nature. Siza's way of interpreting reality attributes a central role to the relationship between man and nature as a driving force in history.
The exhibition, curated by Roberto Cremascoli, includes contributions by Alvaro Siza himself and Chiara Porcu, the architect's archivist.
The installation is designed by Cremascoli, Okumura, Rodrigues Arquitectos.
