2013 Singapore World Architecture Festival
The 2013 World Architecture Festival 2013, an important annual event for contemporary architecture, was held in the famous Marina Bay Sand skyscraper in Singapore designed by architect Moshe Safdie.
When the Festival ended on October 4 the winner of the 2013 World Building prize was announced: the Auckland Art Gallery designed by FJMT (Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp) + Archimedia.
The judges also presented an award for the best unbuilt project, the National Maritime Museum of China by Cox Rayner Architects, and the best landscape architecture project, Australian Garden designed by Taylor Cullity Lethlean + Paul Thompson.
