RO&AD + RAU: Tij observatory in De Scheelhoek nature reserve, the Netherlands

Following the reopening of the Haringvliet sluices, a number of Dutch organisations are commissioning projects for the reconstruction and enhancement of the reborn ecosystem. These include the Tij, a birdwatching observatory designed by RO&AD + RAU.

RO&AD Architecten’s Pompejus

In the Netherlands, near the Flemish border, stands a fortress which had fallen into ruin until it was restored starting in 2010. The architects of RO&AD designed a multipurpose panoramic tower named Pompejus.
