The Mandalorian is the first live-action television series in the Star Wars franchise, developed by Lucasfilm. Architecture plays an essential role in the series that is set five years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi and the projects by Oppenheim Architecture call to mind many of the series backdrops.

Oppenheim Architecture’s Kirchplatz Residence+Office

International architectural practice Oppenheim Architecture renovated and expanded a historic farmhouse in the centre of the village of Muttenz, a few minutes from Basel, Switzerland. The Kirchplatz project is the outcome of a competition for ideas for renovation of a building originally constructed in 1743, containing the new European headquarters of Oppenheim Architecture and the home of its founder, Chad Oppenheim.
