Built to house bronze and jade from the period from 2500-500 B.C., but also paintings and temporary exhibitions set up thanks to loans from the Shanghai Museum, the Suzhou Art Museum, in the province of Jiangsu, was designed by Ieoh Ming Pei, the architect known in Europe above all for having designed the Louvre Pyramid.
