atelier-r reconstruction and extension of a religious building in Olomouc

The atelier-r architecture studio has completed an important renovation project for the city of Olomouc. In a perfect blend of history and innovation, the architects have preserved the original appearance of the "Red Church", an important historic building, while at the same time expanding it to offer new functions and to restore a new and important point of social aggregation to the cultural life of the city.

Atelier 111: Kozina House, Trhové Sviny, Czech Republic

The Kozina House in Trhové Sviny, in the Czech Republic, is the home of Jiří Weinzettl and Barbora Weinzettlová of Atelier 111 architekti. In the town’s historic centre, two volumes separated by a courtyard have been joined to form a single home, carefully restoring its original details.

Zdeněk Fránek and Jakub Janošík’s Durch Lookout

Between philanthropy and advertising comes architecture, at least in the story of Durch Lookout, a panoramic viewpoint in Valašské Příkazy, in the Zlin region of the Czech Republic. Built by window manufacturer Jakub Janošík partly for promotional purposes and partly out of love of nature and generosity, it was designed by architect Zdeněk Fránek and photographed by BoysPlayNice.
