A project in the far reaches of the world - Estancia Morro Chico designed by RDR architects in Argentina

In the Argentinian part of Patagonia, on the southern border with Chile, Swiss firm RDR architectes designed Estancia Morro Chico, a ranch where sheep for wool and meat production are bred. Architects were asked to complete the existing settlement integrating new sustainable constructions, able to preserve the natural heritage while significantly improving the conditions of those who live and work on the property, including the animals.

RIBA International Prize 2018 goes to Aleph Zero and Rosenbaum’s Children Village

RIBA has named Aleph Zero and Rosenbaum’s Children Village the world’s best new building. The Olisur olive oil factory designed by GH + A (Guillermo Hevia Architects) is perfect for its location: its shape and the materials used in it are the architectural expression of the features of the landscape at Fundo San José de Marchigüe, an estate in central Chile. The project addresses the need for sustainable production by making use of natural ventilation and light.
