Snøhetta, new head office for ASI Reisen in Natters
Natters, near Innsbruck, Austria combines the irresistible appeal of the Tyrolean mountains with a wide range of sports activities. These lush green surroundings are the setting for the recently completed new head office for ASI Reisen, an international company specializing in adventure travel and trekking excursions all over the world. The building project, designed by Snøhetta architects practice, is based on the concept of an open-plan office inspired by a close symbiosis with nature.

July 4 through August 20 Berlin’s Aedes Architecture Forum hosts the exhibition Arctic Nordic Alpine, focusing on architecture in vulnerable landscapes. A number of pioneering projects by Snøhetta, such as the Hotel Svart at the foot of the Svartisen glacier, the Arctic World Archive Visitor Centre on Svalbard Island, Under restaurant in Lindesnes and the recent Tungestølen shelter in Luster, offer examples of how architecture can make an active contribution to mitigation of the effects of climate change and promote more sustainable ways of using nature by implementing solutions in dialogue with landscape.

Snøhetta designs the Perspective Way on Nordkette, Innsbruck
Norwegian architectural studio Snøhetta has designed a new theme path called Perspektivenweg, or the Path of Perspectives, for Karwendel Nature Park. Ten architectural elements stand along a panoramic path encouraging appreciation of the unique features of the Alpine landscape and Innsbruck’s spectacular Nordkette mountain chain.
