ADI DESIGN INDEX 2013 for the H2O non-profit association.

After lots of international success, including four prizes at the Los Angeles Green Dot Awards, the H2O non-profit association has now received a significant award in Italy: it was chosen for the ADI DESIGN INDEX 2013, participating in the DESIGN OPERA exhibition at the Triennale di Milano.

Foster’s Gherkin wins the CTBUH 10 Year Award

The CTBUH presents an award for buildings that have been completed and in use for at least 10 years. The first prize goes to The Gherkin, the London skyscraper designed by Norman Foster.

Mehdizadeh: architecture with recycled cladding in Mahallat

Ramin Mehdizadeh in Mahallat is an example of a housing complex and shopping centre in which contemporary architecture is rooted in local tradition. Inspired by the presence of stone quarries in the area, the project uses scrap stone from quarry processes as a cladding material: a sustainable, money-saving project that has won the favour of local builders and been shortlisted for the 2013 Aga Khan Award for Architecture.

20 finalists for the Aga Khan award for architecture

The twenty finalists in the Aga Khan award for architecture were announced at the end of April, and the winner will be announced at the awards ceremony coming up in September in Lisbon.
