Feldman Architecture’s Round House

Round House, the latest renovation project by American studio Feldman Architecture, peeks out among the green hills of Los Altos, California. Built in the 1960s, Round House is one of very few perfectly circular homes. The current owners fell in love with the house at first sight, but after deciding to buy it they soon realised the limitations and problems associated with the home now that it is no longer new. Jonathan Feldman and his team were called in to give the building a contemporary facelift and adapt the house to today’s standards of aesthetics, comfort and energy efficiency.

Feldman Architecture’s Sunrise

Feldman Architecture built a house for a newly retired couple on the hills of Healdsburg, in California’s Sonoma County. The project responds to the specific requirements of the owners, who love gardening and the outdoor lifestyle, by eliminating the barriers between inside and outside wherever possible. The project’s characteristic style is a refined but unostentatious minimalism, with a strong focus on the garden and the home’s natural surroundings in this famous wine-making region.
