Contemporary architectures in Mexico

While waiting for the inauguration of the exhibition “Landa Arquitectos & Piuarch. Architetture contemporanee tra Messico e Italia” (“Landa Arquitectos & Piuarch. Contemporary architectures in Mexico and Italy”), which is due to be held from 15 September at the SpazioFMGperl'Architettura, the Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti  exhibition gallery, we have a wonderful occasion to rediscover the architecture and designs dedicated to Mexico and published on Floornature. Our collection could only be started with the Pabellón M aof Monterrey, a project carried out by LANDA Arquitectos that will be exhibited at the SpazioFMG.

We shall then move on with the projects of two private houses, only recently published on Floornature, and designed by Abraham Cota Paredes Arquitectos, the Casa Olguín at Tlajomulco de Zuñiga and Casa V in Guadalajara.
Also in Tijuana, the architects of Oficina 3 estudio de arquitectura designed a sustainable house with a low environmental impact: Casa Lopez-Lujano. In full symbiosis with the natural environment is the Tepoztlan Lounge esigned by Caldaval & Solà-Morales in Tepoztlán, an important ancient town 50 km from Mexico City.
When it comes to the starchitects, the museum Jumex in Mexico City is worth a mention; it was designed by architect David Chipperfield and hosts the most important private contemporary art collection in Latin America. To conclude, a project by Zaha Hadid Architects: Esfera City Center. The objective with this project is to provide Monterrey with new, essential housing to meet the growing needs of this Mexican city.
