As part of Clerkenwell Design Week in London, the Iris Ceramica Group is promoting a performance painting by street artist Camilla Falsini curated by Yourban2030 at its London flagship store. The artist was invited to create a work of art on ceramic inspired by the works of the Memphis Movement, displayed in the showroom for the exhibition "Ceramics: Neverending Artworks".

From 24th to 26th May, the epicentre of London design will be Clerkenwell, for the usual, eagerly awaited international Design Week.
In this district of the city, a hotbed of new trends and creative experimentation theIris Ceramica Group London Flagship Store, at 61-67 Old Street, will host an exhibition entitled Ceramics: Neverending Artworks created by the Iris Ceramica Group in partnership with Antonia Jannone - Disegni di Architettura. The exhibition, already presented with great success in Milan, is enhanced in London by an important live performance by the street artist Camilla Falsini, curated by the Yourban2030 non-profit organisation and sponsored by the Iris Ceramica Group.

On the 24th and 25th May the public will be involved in a shared experience of live performance painting by Camilla Falsini. Inspired by the iconic works of the Memphis art movement, displayed in the flagship store, the artist will interpret the graphic style, patterns, colours, asymmetries and creativity of the authors, paying tribute to designers like Aldo Cibic, Andrea Branzi, Ettore Sottsass, George Sowden, Luigi Serafini, Marco Zanini, Martine Bedin, Matteo Thun, Michele De Lucchi, Nathalie Du Pasquier and Peter Shire. The environmentally innovative high-tech ceramic surfaces of the Iris Ceramica Group become canvases for the street artist's live painting, offering her a worthy and ideal material on which to tell a story of art, sustainability, eco-innovation and the concept of ‘Made in Italy’.
It is the story of the great potential that high-performance material like ceramic has to become an art object and, at the same time, an innovative and eco-friendly surface. Exactly like those produced by the Iris Ceramica Group in zero-emission plants with natural materials and using renewable energy sources. It is the story of the Group itself, whose production system is built around respect for the environment as one of its core values, so much so that it has pioneered innovative, cutting-edge technologies, like its new clean hydrogen-powered production plant to open in 2022.
