Archilinea Fiandre Architectural Surfaces Cersaie 2016

Bar,

Modern,

The perfection of Fiandre’s ceramic surfaces is underlined in the design of the stand for Cersaie 2016 by architectural practice Archilinea. Mies van der Rohe’s motto "Less is More" is the idea inspiring the stand representing the company from Castellarano at the event in Bologna.

Archilinea Fiandre Architectural Surfaces Cersaie 2016

Simple lines, a single sculpture (a female figure), water... the similarities with Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s German Pavilion for Expo 1929 in Barcelona are immediately apparent upon entering the Fiandre stand at Cersaie 2016. And in fact the famous Modernist master’s motto "Less is More" inspired the design by Archilinea.
Giving up the temptation to indulge in all forms of virtuosity and spectacularity, the architects created an extremely severe, controlled form in which nothing is left to chance to keep the focus on the true centre of the stand: Fiandre’s ceramic slabs. Archilinea’s design underlines the new large sizes in the Marmi Maximum collection as well as collections in more conventional sizes: Marble Lab, Fjord and Neo Genesis, and the versatility of Maximum Fiandre Extralite®, used to make the custom-designed furniture.
It is the structure of the stand itself, the walls covered with ceramic slabs, that give shape to the space, guide visitors’ movements and separate areas with specific functions. There are no distractions, and nothing further can be removed without undermining the harmony of the composition; there is nothing to distract visitors’ attention from the surfaces, for even the furnishings – tables, counters, desks, shelves and display units – are custom-designed and made with Maximum Fiandre Extralite® surfaces, integrated into the harmonious balance of the stand.
