House XL by SoNo Architects

SoNo Architects,

XLè is certainly a good name for a 410 square-metre home for seven. Designed with great care by SoNo Architects of Slovenia, the home offers just the blend of warmth and elegance every family would like to have.

House XL by SoNo Architects

"XL" is a family home designed by SoNo architects of Slovenia and named for its particular character: an extra-large house for a family of seven. The house has 410 square metres of floor space, which means 60 square metres a head.
It takes the form of two volumes mirroring one another and built in parallel, linked by a third element in the middle. The façade features elegant grey and black Swisspearl cladding and strips of painted oak to add a touch of warmth and dynamism and provide shelter from the sun.
The interiors are large, designed to ensure continuity with the outdoors through large windows and doors. The ground floor is dominated by steel elements, while the upper levels are distinguished by use of wood cladding.
