contemporary,

When is a treehouse not a treehouse? When it's NewNest, which takes the traditional concept of a treehouse and turns it into a treeless house.

NewNest, the treehouse reloaded When is a treehouse not a treehouse? When it's NewNest, which takes the traditional concept of a treehouse and turns it into a treeless house. NewNest can be put up anywhere, and it becomes a poetic retreat from our crazy lives.

The treehouse is synonymous with escape from our daily routine, completely detached from the reality of  the “earth”, so to speak, something a lot of us dream about but few can make true. The NewNest concept was developed by a team directed by architect Alberto Giovagnoni and CEO Jessica Tanari, to make the treehouse a lot more accessible, and more importantly it adopts truly sustainable solutions.

In the first place, NewNest doesn't actually need a tree, because the maintenance-free, zinc-coated steel frame is free-standing, so it can be built anywhere you like.

NewNest is a modular, customisable microcosm, which ranges from a small shelter to larger, more complex constructions. They are all united by completion that follows the dictates of green building, in other words NewNest is fully recyclable, well-insulated and adopts the high-end technology of home automation to guarantee low energy consumption and a small environmental footprint.

An architectural installation with a timeless fairy-tale charm and a contemporary heart when it comes to seismic and fire safety. NewNest is exactly that - a getaway where you can retreat to recharge your batteries and rediscover the poetic magic that is so often missing in our daily lives.
