The work of SWA South West Architecture of Qatar will be the focus of a talk organised on June 18 by SpazioFMGperl'Architettura, Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti’s gallery and showroom.
The talk offers an opportunity to dedicate this week’s best of the week to projects built in Qatar presented in Floornature, starting with the Expo Milano 2015 pavilion and the Falcon Tower by SWA South West Architecture, which will be the focus of the talk on June 18.
The challenging climate of this primarily desert country is the key factor in the search for innovative solutions which are socially, economically and ecologically sustainable for responsible management of water and the resources of the land. Architect Alberto Francini of Metrogramma recently presented a study in Doha, the capital of Qatar, entitled Green Desert Shadow Prototype, which aims to identify a form of urban construction capable of improving the lives of people who live in places with extreme climatic conditions.
Continuing with the projects discussed in Floornature, by the end of 2015 work is due to be completed on Qatar National Museum designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel.
