Robert Majkut designs the Orange Cinema in Beijing
Architect Robert Majkut designed the Orange Cinema in Beijing for Golden Harvest, a film company which owns cinemas and multiplexes and has produced numerous films including Bruce Lee and Jackie Chanaction movies.
In describing the project, the architect focused on the choice of colours and the multimedia solutions employed.
The colours were chosen to create the atmosphere and the magic of the cinema: black to represent darkness, strong>orange to symbolise a pleasant evening of entertainment with friends and pink, which Robert Majkut considers the colour of fun and carefree happiness.
Multimedia elements such as giant screens determine the shape and atmosphere of the interior. All items of furniture such as sofas, tables, stools and lighting are made to the architect?s designs.
