Spa by A2arqiutectos in Majorca wins the 41st Annual Interior Design Competition

The Hotel Castell dels Hams was built amidst the Mediterranean vegetation of Majorca in 1967, and has become one of the most popular destinations on the island’s eastern side. A2arquitectos was asked to renovate the existing indoor swimming pool and add a spa.

The new swimming pool roof is a green roof dotted with skylights creating evocative light effects inside. Spa guests enjoy beautiful views of the greenery, establishing a visual dialogue with the landscape so that it becomes an integrant aspect of the body care treatments.

The studio’s elegant project of great visual impact has won the 41st Annual Interior Design Competition, organised by the International Interior Design Association, an award for interior design projects that stand out for their innovation and creativity.
