The 55th Salone del Mobile has ended, and with it the 2016 Fuorisalone. Here is a quick review in pictures of some of the most interesting events at Milano Design Week.

The 55th Salone del Mobile closed with record-breaking attendance figures for both visitors and members of the trade, about 70% of whom came from abroad. The Fuorisalone events were also a great success, bringing new life to various neighbourhoods in the city. Here is a quick review of some of the most interesting events in pictures.
In the Brera Design District, Floornature editorial staff visited Inside Town at FAB Architectural Bureau, Fiandre’s gallery and showroom, and the exhibition '50+!' - The great game of industry, an exhibition about the objects of design that have made Italian companies and their products so great held on the premises of the order of architects of Milan.
In one of the courtyards in Brera, Marco Porpora architetti designed the Ritmicittà installation for Ariostea high-tech, which large Ultra slabs and the Marmi, Onici and Metalli collections become musical instruments echoing the sounds and rhythms of the city.
In the Tiepolo Room in Palazzo Clerici, in Via Clerici, the SapienStone SMART SLAB TABLE installation was designed by designers Clemens Weisshaar and Reed Kram for the Iris Ceramica Group.
The University of Milan and the Botanical Gardens hosted Interni magazine with “Open Borders” a review of interactive macro-installations that go beyond the conventional boundaries of architecture and design to seek new synergies and contaminations.
In the Tortona district, the Urban Tree Lounge installation designed by Stefano Boeri with the Design division of 3M™ (3M Design), was set up in the central square of Superstudio, while Via Bergognone 27 hosted the exhibition SpazioFMGperl'Architetturacome in, we're open!” diesel living with iris ceramica, which continues until May 13 2016.
