Floornature and Livegreenblog at Design Week Milano 2017

Floornature and Livegreenblog editors attended a number of events at Milano Design Week 2017; here is a summary, 2 days after the end of the week. Let’s start with SpazioFMG, where the exhibition Sections of Autonomy. Six Korean Architects opened on April 3. Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti’s gallery and showroom hosts an exhibition curated by Choi Won-joon and Luca Galofaro focusing on the work of 6 Korean architects until May 12. Also in the Tortona district, at Superstudio Più, designer Andrea Ponti created an installation called Shadows in the Window which uses the window as a metaphor for describing the Hong Kong landscape.
In the Brera district, Oikos, under the artistic direction of architect Giulio Cappellini, asked a number of prominent names in architecture and design to participate in the "White in the city" project. At Foscarini Spazio Brera, an installation by Giovanni Maria Filindeu takes visitors through an intimate, evocative exhibition exploring the many forms of light. The façade gardening installation and exhibition about façades designed by Piuarch is in Via Palermo no.5 and, for recharging oneself and one’s electronic devices, the RE:CHARGE Café by Humanscale is a green oasis in all senses created by designer Todd Bracher. The work of Luca Gnizio and the products he has created re-using scrap materials appear at The Italian Affair Event, Via Valpetrosa 5.
At Ventura Lambrate the focus is on Norwegian design, with “Everything is connected”, an exhibition curated by Katrin Greiling. Other exhibitions include a show paying homage to Ettore Sottsass and his "The Indian Memory" collection at Galleria Antonia Jannone Disegni di Architettura and "Aldo Rossi e Milano, 1955-1995" at the Order of Architects, Landscape Architects and Conservationists of the Province of Milan.
